Totton U3A French Language Group

Monday morning we all settled back to listen to Michel's disk eight, the very last disk. He packs a lot in to bring his course to an end. Have the two students a working knowledge of French? No I don't think so. But I've learnt a lot far more than I ever could with an ordinary French tuition course. We all have, I think, the enthusiasm to continue with the more advanced French course. Next week at Sue's house and disk eight again.
Pat Osborne tells me that her French group is also doing well.

Full attendance of all the aspiring polyglots in Hazel's front room. Disk 7, the second time we waded through the difficult idea that in French the future tense can be expressed in three ways - one way being the present tense. Michel made it all clear to us - I think.

Disk seven - how time flies. We still struggle to master the course, one can pity the real students. Under Michel's tongue lashing the girl is getting hysterical and the chap is now stuttering but having listened to the last disk I know they part in good spirits or was it the sheer relief to the non stop pressure. Having now purchased the advanced course I note the pupils for that are of a different mettle confident and curt, dismissing Michel's attempt to harangue them with speak up I must hear you clearly.

Disk 6 again all about louie
Next week at Jack & Joan's again although we have been warned a race hound will be at the house. Not sure what it will think of us attempting to answer Michel's insistent demands to speak up as he wants to hear us clearly.
Here for those who asked for a picture of the man born Moniek Kroskof in Lodz, Poland - I did warn you that he was well known for his toupee and ill fitting clicking teeth. Despite a decade of ill health, Thomas never relaxed a work schedule that a 30-year-old would have found punishing. Just before his death,aged 90 in 2005 he completed a hectic schedule of travel.
