We continued with the learning of the alphabet en Francais then we studied a copy taken from a book of idiomatic sayings followed by dictation from the same source.
We looked at a very amusing short film of Eddy Izzard giving a stand up performance mainly for those with a smattering of French.

Bit basic but a bit over looked we practised the French alphabet. We then listened to Learn French with Coffee Break French! Lesson 26: Au marché

In this week's lesson, we continue the theme of shopping but this time in a market place. You'll learn how to ask for different types and quantities of food and how to ask the price. Finally you can listen to a typical conversation in a market place and hear the words and phrases in context.

We then heard Tony Blair congratulating the president of France in franglais.

Met at John's and another amusing morning with translating sentences using common iregular verbs. After a tea break we continued with the french podcast

Coldest day of the year for a long time -10 reported in one part of the country but it was quite warm and sunny at Myra's where we once again reviewed the être verb.
For refreshments Myra had gone to the trouble to make fruit flans which were very much appreciated. We then continued to listen to the Ipod recording of the caravanning in France.
