I blame Geoff he encouraged Myra to set up shop or Super Marche with each room offering a tempting array of food or it would if it hadn't been just cards with the written words to represent the item. We split into threes and made a clockwise tour of the bungalow visiting each room in turn. Oh well I'm sure Myra had fun writing it all up.
We then looked around the garden giving the chickens a visit on the way. Instead of a biscuit we were treated to delicious boysenberries with cream to go with our tea.
Then we worked with Mikes translation of CBF which caused a riot of conflicting opinions, Very useful for all of us who struggle to understand the verbal French.

22nd June

Behind the chip shop today greeted by a partially deaf and blind curly haired breed of dog as well as Sue. But it, the dog, soon settled down and first of all I regaled Myra with a poem in return for last week's effort by Myra for Joan. They all said it was good and I'm easily flattered so here it is .

There was a strange corsair with one covered eye
Known for her teeth and being very spry
Much is known of her and that is no lie.
Brave as a lion and a staunch defender of truth.
Myra is renowned throughout Totton
Some say as far as distant Soton.
Waving an umbrella with a slogan well read.
Calling for a ban on threats from the NHS
to poison our water throughout the Nation
with that horrible detested fluoridation.
Busy with chickens to feed and eggs for collection
Cleaning the house for our inspection
On some Tuesdays we arrive with notes and sighs.
As we are taught by Myra the intricacies of grammar
not just in English that would be too easy.
But a foreign lingo that makes us all queasy.

Myra again distributed a text about French life and a poem on we think a damsel fly or it could have been a young lady.

At Junes today - no Ray as he escaped with some suspect excuse although he did pop back for tea and then he was off again.
Myra regaled us with her muse that gave birth to an ode about Joan's tendency to feel the cold. Not too embarrassing so will forgive her.
The story today which we attempted to read and translate was a heavy piece about the love of open markets and markets in covered areas, where all the inhabitants are supposed to visit otherwise it leads to comments on who had last seen the missing villager and why the absence. After a break we continued with Coffee break French. June turned on the TV to show pictures taken from their holiday in France so we quietly left as it was time for dinner.

Chez Nous aujourd'hui No Myra so I took the reins, we quickly went through the previous lesson from two weeks ago to reinforce out memory and it takes a lot of reinforcing. We then went on to Avoir besoin de,vous avez raison and ils/elles se rendent compte. This took us to our well deserved tea break and after that they all rushed of to Brockenhurst to have a lunch at the college.
