25th January
Myra's today and only a few of us turned up. Myra had an assembly of objects to discuss and describe but soon Myra left us to our own devices as she hunted down a missing cell phone. We got on quite well as a team rather than pairing off. Consensus was that small groups talking about different things was hard for those with less than perfect hearing.
After the break we continued with Mindworms 5 & 6
Quite a pleasant morning where we all felt we learnt something.

Chez Nous just nine of us today. Myra had copies of a cartoon strip about French cafes trying to survive by following the advice of a Prof Saistout, adopt and adapt. This leads to incidents as waiters on skates crash and rooms stuffed with people. We then translated a piece on Algiers when French colonists were driven out by the Arab desire for home rule.

Met at Pat & Brian's on quite a nice morning for January, 4c but seemed warmer. Myra showed us her calendar portraying her son Ben his wife and baby. Nice photos of all of them. Myra described the scenes in French of course. Following this we had a short dictation about Ben carrying the baby in a Sac à dos. After a break we listened to several French recordings.
